Being a critical part of the conceptualization process of creating a collection, these depictions of movement, fabrics, and characters are a developed technique that must adapt to suit the theme and audience of each collection.
Funnily enough- I HATED human figure illustrations vehemently until 2nd year of college, but it has developed into one of my strongest illustration niches. Practice does indeed make perfect.

The anatomical heart fused with animalistic imagery symbolizes both vulnerability and primal power, while the woman’s face—erased into a void—illustrates the historical dehumanization and erasure of women’s voices. The dripping fork stabbing into her chest represents violence, exploitation, and the commodification of female existence. Beneath this cosmic body, miniature male figures survey the land—serving as a metaphor for the systemic regulation, measurement, and control imposed on women by societal structures. Yet, the starry sky and expansive backdrop invoke a sense of cosmic rebirth and limitless feminine consciousness, positioning womanhood as a force far greater than the systems trying to contain it.
